Global shipping and logistics group CMA CGM has announced an agreement to acquire FedEx Supply Chain, the contract logistics business of FedEx Corporation, in a transaction valued at $1.4 billion.

The acquisition marks another significant step in CMA CGM’s long-term strategy of expanding its integrated logistics capabilities through its logistics subsidiary, CEVA Logistics.
